Reactive dye-fiber fixation:-
The mechanism associated with the application of reactive dyes from a dyebath involve the following steps.
1. Exhaustion of dye from the dye from the dyebath to the fiber surface.
2. Adsorption of dye onto the fiber surface.
3. Diffusion of dye onto the fiber surface.
4. Migration of dye to give uniform dye distribution in the fiber.
5. Fixation of dye to polymer chains via covalent bond formation.
