Various disperse dyes giving yellow to blue shades on polyester and other hydrophobic fibres are known. One example of monoazo disperse dyes in celliton scarlet B (548) obtained by acidic coupling of N-ethyl-N-(b-hydroxy ethyl) aniline (549) with diazonium salt derived from parp nitro aniline (208).
